Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Mazy's Maintenance & Cleaning Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance projects.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties and coordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise a team of 5-10 light duty cleaners.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Work Environment:

Mazy's Maintenance & Cleaning Services operates in a variety of settings, including office buildings, commercial facilities, and hospitals/medical facilities or clinics. As a Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
