At Teck, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Trail, British Columbia. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our steam plant installations, meeting all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in design, operation, and maintenance of steam systems. Key responsibilities will include providing technical expertise to the team, developing and implementing strategies for preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all steam plant installations are designed, operated, maintained, and inspected to meet Teck and government regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and current understanding of the steam distribution system to Trail Operations.
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Control Manual for Teck's BPV Contractor License.
  • Coordinate the Power Engineer training requirements and Power Engineer certification management for Trail Operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ASME, NBIC, Boiler Pressure Vessels and Refrigeration Regulations, and other applicable codes and standards.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of progressively more advanced experience in a related technical environment.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite package.
