Wood is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our Mining & Minerals team in Trail, British Columbia.

The Senior Structural Designer will apply extensive knowledge of structural design principles and practices to our products and services. This role has overall responsibility for providing Structural Design support on heavy industrial, power & mining projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Department Manager, this position requires working in Trail, British Columbia. Our office provides full engineering, procurement and construction services on a wide variety of industrial projects related to mining, mineral development and processing and hydroelectric generation.

The Trail office currently numbers over 50 engineers, designers and support personnel. Trail is an affordable family-oriented community with excellent education and health care facilities.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma in Civil/Structural
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a Structural Designer role within heavy industrial or mining & metals
  • Minimum 5 years AutoCAD and 3 years PDMS, E3D
  • Knowledge of other 3D software will be an asset
  • Knowledge with using MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
