We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at Strawberry Field Daycare.

Job Summary

The Early Childhood Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role will also involve supervising staff, training, and volunteers, as well as assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Assist in keeping records
  • Establish guidelines for behavior
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3) certification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
Work Environment

This role will be based in a child care centre with a dynamic and supportive team. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
