At Houle Electric Limited, we're seeking an experienced Financial Operations Assistant to join our team in Burnaby.

This role reports to the Director, Finance and will work closely with the Accounts Receivable Team Lead to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate data entry into our ERP system
  • Record daily deposits and reconcile discrepancies
  • Follow up with customers regarding cash receipts, credits, over/under payments, and overdue invoices
  • Assist project managers, service coordinators, and customers with AR-related inquiries
  • Send customer statements monthly
  • Assist with credit card fee allocations
  • Follow up with customers to ensure correct contact details in our system
  • Perform other Accounts Receivable functions as needed

Requirements for this position include:

  • High School diploma
  • 1 year of experience in a similar position or any entry-level finance/accounting position
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Detail-oriented
  • Customer-service driven
  • Able to work as a member of a team
  • Experience in construction industry accounting or credit training an asset
