Job Summary

Tender Love & Care Daycare Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our childcare program, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that fosters the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bath, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that support the overall growth and well-being of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest
  • Order supplies and equipment necessary for daily operations
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums like art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at regular staff meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in early childhood education, preferably with an Other trades certificate or diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality childcare services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and standards in early childhood education
