Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Support Specialist

Estimated Salary:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and location


Job Description
  • In collaboration with early childhood educators, assist in planning and implementing programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest, promoting cultural awareness and exploration
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and observations, contributing to informed decision-making and enhanced child outcomes
  • Engage children in activities, fostering creativity and imagination through storytelling, music, and craft preparation
  • Prepare healthy snacks and ensure the safety and well-being of children during meal and rest periods
  • Promptly submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to staff meetings, discussing children's progress and addressing any challenges or concerns, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Participate in diversity and cross-cultural training, promoting inclusivity and respect for all individuals, including newcomers, refugees, youth, and Indigenous peoples
