Recreation Leader 3 - Children's Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Recreation Leader 3 to join our team at the City of Maple Ridge. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children in a fun, safe, active, and inclusive environment.

Job Description:
  • This front-line leadership position provides opportunities for growth and development in recreation programs for children aged 0-12 years.
  • As a Recreation Leader 3, you will provide leadership to a team of junior staff, oversee the safety of groups of children, and assist in program planning and activities.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by courses related to the work, plus some related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Working knowledge of program leadership and instruction for preschool, children, youth, and adults.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with program participants, parents, and external agencies.
