Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide community outreach and support to youth in need, connecting them with essential services and resources.
  • Develop and implement individualized life skills programs to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients, peers, and other agencies to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Facilitate groups and provide education on mental health, wellness, and life skills.
  • Conduct assessments and develop plans to address clients' needs and goals.
  • Work effectively with clients living with mental illness, substance misuse issues, and other challenges.
  • Ensure all requirements of the QWIK process and administrative tasks are completed within allocated timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with youth experiencing mental health challenges, addictions, and other complex issues.
  • Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation practices, harm reduction approaches, and crisis de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
