We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team at Crowe BGK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the full accounting cycle, including the review of intercompany transactions, monthly invoices, bank balances, and government reporting.
  2. Oversee Canadian and US accounting and tax compliance, as well as legal compliance department duties.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues on acquisition and disposition related accounting and bank preparations, quarterly distributions, and coordination with the IRS.
  4. Work closely with lenders to ensure effective banking relationships and perform year-end tasks, such as inputting adjusting journal entries and preparing supporting documents.
  5. Maintain accurate records of contract expenses, communicate with suppliers, manage weekly payroll, and oversee owners'/Partners investment activities.
  6. Supervise a direct report, a bookkeeper, and provide support for ad hoc reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience with Real Estate and QuickBooks online, as well as fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
