We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Pho Binh Dan Restaurant. This is a permanent position, offering 40 hours of work per week.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, including coordinating special events, determining food portions and costs, requisitioning supplies, preparing meals, and training staff. They will also be required to inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensure cleanliness, and maintain high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient preparation and serving of meals.
- Menu Planning: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our brand values.
- Team Leadership: Lead and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Familiarity with restaurant software and inventory management systems
You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. As an Executive Chef, you will be expected to work well under pressure, think creatively, and maintain a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
