As an automation specialist, you will oversee the design, construction, and implementation of assembly equipment control systems to meet production requirements for new programs and product launches.

Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of assembly equipment control systems to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.">
  • Review and assist vendors' proposed designs to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.">
  • Prepare specifications for material and equipment purchases, including cost estimates and equipment layout.">
  • Assist in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.">
  • Interpret engineering drawings for production personnel.">
  • Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes.">
  • Implement process control techniques and procedures.">
  • Create and review FMEAs and Control Plans.">
  • Analyze root causes and failures as required.">
  • Provide expertise and guidance on problem identification, analysis, and resolution.">
  • Inspect products and processes to identify areas for improvement.">
  • Operate computer-aided engineering and design software.">
  • Generate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.">
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment issues.">
  • Maintain current knowledge of engineering principles and industry trends.">

Requirements and Qualifications

">
  • ">
  • Degree in Engineering Technology or 10 years of experience in controls field with hardware and software design.">
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.">
  • Strong understanding of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Statistical Process, and Machine Controls.">
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering theories and principles.">
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001/TS 16949 standards.">
  • Proficiency in CAD and design techniques.">
  • Ability to analyze data and create technical documents.">
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.">
  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.">

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
