Manufacturing Engineering Specialist for Electronic Assemblies

Job Role: Production EngineerWe seek a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team at Note Windsor. This role will be responsible for supporting our production environment, producing printed circuit board assemblies, and ensuring the smooth operation of SMT machines and conventional PCB assembly lines.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supporting a PCB assembly facility, possessing strong manufacturing and process engineering skills. They will also be competent in using customer-supplied Gerber, BOM, and CAD data to generate production machine programs, and producing high-quality shop floor work instructions.
- Converting customer-supplied data into programs for production machinery.
- Competency with Computer-Aided Manufacturing packages for printed circuit board assembly (e.g., Circuit CAM, Factory Logics, Fuji CAM).
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards and components.
- Responding to breakdowns and performing maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach to breakdowns.
- Experience working with SMT machines (Siemens desirable but not essential).
- Ability to produce high-quality and accurate work instructions.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite, Drawing packages, Gerber data.
- Experience of stencil design and ordering.
- Familiar with ERP systems and BOM's.
- Knowledge of oven profiles and screen-printing process.
- Liaising and communicating with other departments, managers, and customers.
- Ability to plan and manage capital projects.
- Producing operator assembly guides, production aids, and jigs.
- Confidence to deliver results independently and as part of a team.
- Ensuring product and process quality meets the required specification.
- Supporting the installation of machinery and equipment.
