Key Responsibilities- Design and Process Improvement: Assist in the implementation of design and process changes to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Documentation and Audits: Maintain accurate documentation and conduct audits for structural and thermal testing.
- Lean Initiatives: Participate in Lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Process Development: Introduce new manufacturing and assembly processes to production, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze existing production methods and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize resource allocation.
- Equipment Specification and Procurement: Specify, procure, and install new equipment to support manufacturing operations.
- Supplier and Customer Liaison: Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Design and Development: Design fixtures, jigs, and tools for use in manufacturing, and identify and troubleshoot manufacturing and design problems.
- Time Studies and Analysis: Conduct time studies to optimize production workflows and analyze special product requests for production and purchased part requirements.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong CAD skills and experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Product design and window and door manufacturing experience are assets.
