About the Role:

AFD Petroleum is seeking a skilled Tank Fabricator to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our fuel tanks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in AFD Petroleum's Safety Program, conducting regular worksite inspections and promoting safe work practices.
  • Safely and efficiently complete all fabrication and welding tasks as assigned, adhering to industry standards and company protocols.
  • Regularly repair and maintain fuel tanks and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by maintaining a tidy shop and yard.
  • Perform general labor tasks, including painting, decal removal, fuel transfers, and cleaning.
  • Collaborate with shop technicians, electricians, and other trades as required to achieve project goals.
  • Operate wheel loaders, forklifts, and overhead cranes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid provincial Journeyman Certification in Welding.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a shop/field environment, with a strong background in welding and fabrication.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and follow work order instructions.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Clean driving record and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
