Job Summary:

Minto Group is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting the highest standards of health and safety throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure health and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety metrics and trends.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health and safety, including program management and development.
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid and Joint Health and Safety Committee member.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
