Estimator for Construction Projects

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc. as a key member of our estimating department.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to create accurate estimates
- Develop estimates for general expenses and overheads, and provide economic feasibility studies for proposed projects
- Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates and project timelines
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget
- Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors to support estimating efforts
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in estimating for construction projects
- Strong knowledge of estimating software and systems, including CADD
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
- Fluency in English and French (bilingual)
