Estimator for Construction Projects

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc. as a key member of our estimating department.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other estimating tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost estimates and project feasibility
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates
- College or CEGEP education in a relevant field
- 1-2 years of experience in estimating or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
