About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures and therapies
  • Operating and maintaining imaging equipment to ensure high-quality images
  • Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participating in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of care

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A graduate degree in nuclear medicine technology from an accredited program
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $39.96, as well as eligibility for our benefits package and pension plan.
