Controller Job Description

Freedom Graphic Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and overseeing cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee cash management, monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Prepare materials for the annual audit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Administer the company 401(k) plan, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership to the accounting team, mentoring and developing team members to ensure their growth and success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and/or CPA certification
  • 10 years of experience working as a finance/accounting leader in a manufacturing environment (printing experience strongly preferred)
  • High level of integrity, including an understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills, follow-through, and detail orientation
  • Advanced to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with UKG preferred
