We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team at RONA Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performance team of coordinators and cycle counters to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our regional distribution centers.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Coach and supervise the Inventory Control team to ensure its development and success.
- Inventory Management: Support the creation, monitoring, and reporting of the inventory loss budget, determine inventory gains and losses in monetary value, and communicate them to regional management.
- Transaction Management: Manage all inventory transactions regarding damages, overages, and purchase order transfers, processing, and closing.
- Investigation and Resolution: Investigate and resolve all store inventory claims and investigate and manage store credits.
- Root Cause Analysis: Determine the root causes of inventory discrepancies and develop corrective measures with the Operations team.
- Reporting and Reconciliation: Create, review, and reconcile reports on timing, inventory accuracy, periodic counts, financial inventory account, warehouse management systems, facility utilization.
- Supplier Management: Investigate chargebacks of supplier accounts payable regarding inventory.
- Inventory Maintenance: Organize inventory maintenance counts upon request.
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve reconciliations based on discrepancies of cycle counts, supervise the inventory layout, and ensure the performance and accuracy of the work of the Inventory Control team.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory position in an inventory control-related function within a distribution environment, 5-7 years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
- Education: Post-secondary training in business administration or supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Access/Excel, analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and creatively resolve complex problems, ability to multitask and handle changes well, excellent time-management and organizational skills, and ability to build rapport and trust with collaborators and stakeholders.
- Language: Proficient in French, spoken and written.
