Job Summary:

The Financial Controller is a critical role for Keter North America. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Controller has the responsibility to ensure proper governance and controls are maintained within the business unit. The individual will work alongside the Finance Director to complete all reporting and analytical needs of the business unit. A dotted line relationship exists with the North American Controller to ensure that all shared service finance functions (AP, Credit, AR) adequately support the unit's business needs and that all corporate responsibilities are met in a timely fashion. The Controller will maintain external relationships with the CRA audit teams, banks, and local agencies to ensure that the Canadian legal entity remains compliant and in good standing. A successful candidate will leverage their hands-on experience to influence all functional areas within the business (Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Sales, Finance, etc.) to ensure data and process accuracy throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly/quarterly close process
  • Manage cash controls, forecasting, and reporting
  • Manage CRA and other agency audits and inquiries
  • Manage all banking relationships and processes
  • Manage all external audit inquiries (quarterly/annual) with support of Financial Analyst
  • Manage the external Tax firm to ensure corporate compliance
  • Support the Finance Director in the annual Budget process and Quarterly review process
  • Prepare weekly cash reporting and forecasting
  • Manage Capital Expenditure controls, forecasting, and reporting (with Engineering support)
  • Maintain, analyze, and reconcile the General Ledger accounts (with NA Controller team)
  • Quarterly Transfer Price review, analysis, and reporting
  • Vendor and Customer data management as required
  • Support the central AR and AP teams as required
  • Support the HR and Payroll functions as required and determine monthly provisions
  • Work closely with department managers in analyzing plant activities and costs (e.g. production efficiencies, bill of materials maintenance, spend, etc.)


Requirements:

Skills & Competencies:

  • CPA designation and at least 3 years of manufacturing industry experience
  • Indepth SAP experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proven ability to interpret data and provide meaningful analysis to senior leaders
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Action-Oriented


Education and Training:

  • Postsecondary education in a related field
