Job Summary

Rogers Communications is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Manager to join our team of professionals in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our Breakfast Television team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our studio productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise between studio floor and production control room to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and ready on-camera personnel for productions, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist on-air talent as required while in studio or on-location, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate studio activities as required by the control room director in a live or tape studio situation, ensuring all elements are in place for a successful production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a television production and post-production environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of success in a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Degree or diploma in Broadcasting, with a strong understanding of the aesthetics and program flow.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working a standard day shift. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced studio environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm. Travel requirements are up to 10% of the time.
