Job Title: Floor Director

Job Summary:

Rogers Sports & Media is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Director to join our dynamic team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of live television productions, including Breakfast Television.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between studio floor and production control room to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare and ready on-camera personnel for productions, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist on-air talent as required in studio or on-location, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Coordinate studio activities as required by the control room director, ensuring a smooth and efficient production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the production team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in television production and post-production.
  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Degree or diploma in Broadcasting, with a strong understanding of television production principles and practices.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
