This role is an excellent opportunity to join ASCO Canada Limited as a Senior HSEQ Manager in our New Brunswick location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the business in achieving HSSEQ development objectives and leading the introduction, implementation, and maintenance of company HSSEQ initiatives, programs, and policies.

About the Role:

  • ">
  • Maintain existing management system standards as defined in the HSEQ Policy Statement to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Investigate and report company HSEQ incidents according to guidelines outlined by company documents, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.">
  • Execute timely reports on HSEQ elements as designated by the Operations Manager, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.">
  • Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and presentations to implement new HSEQ initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.">
  • Provide support to Health and Safety Committee members on projects undertaken, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.">
  • Coordinated logging, tracking, investigating, and resolving Non-Conformance issues, maintaining accurate records and implementing corrective actions.">
  • Stay up-to-date on applicable legislation related to HSEQ and provide relevant information to staff through training, postings, email, Intranet, and other means of communication.">
  • Champion employee involvement in the development and administration of the safety program, promoting a culture of engagement and ownership.">
  • Conduct Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.">

HSEQ Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate all work to ensure it is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with appropriate procedures, minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries.">
  • Enforce adherence to formal role-specific/procedure-applicable procedures, work instructions, and safety standards at all times, promoting a culture of compliance.">
  • Undertake interventions when necessary, addressing non-conformities and promoting corrective actions.">
  • Report any incidents/breaches of policy or regulation to the line manager, escalating concerns as required.">
  • Refuse unsafe work, following established protocols for handling such situations.">
  • Notify the operations manager of any hazard trends, contributing to the development of proactive measures.">
  • Arrange, participate in, and deliver safety meetings to promote awareness and engagement among staff.">
  • Develop and maintain policy and procedure to keep the safety program up-to-date and compliant with regulations and industry standards.">

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Achieve or working towards one of the following designations/certifications: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma.">
  • Minimum 1.5+ years of work experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) industry, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.">

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
