Holt Renfrew offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Financial Reporting Lead to join our team. This role is based in Canada, and the estimated annual salary is $120,000-$150,000.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Lead to ensure the accuracy and completeness of reported financial position and results. As a key partner within the organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing financial reporting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review external statutory financial statements, including all note disclosures, for legal entities in accordance with IFRS.
  • Prepare audit & pension committee materials.
  • Act as a liaison with external audit firm for planning, interim and annual audits;
  • Oversee the reporting of monthly financial results and distribution of management pack to parent company, Board members and executive leadership; support enhancements and efficiency projects as necessary.
  • Lead the annual balance sheet and cash flow budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Lead the annual impairment analysis when trigger exists, which encompasses preparing the value in use analysis, obtaining management and parent company alignment, as well as liaising with external partners to obtain necessary inputs.
  • Ensure sufficient internal controls relevant to the financial reporting processes are in place, and lead improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant financial accounting and reporting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience with SAP and Cognos is an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
