About Our Client

Our Client is a leading Canadian-owned and operated national retailer and merchandiser.

Job Description

  • Lead a team of financial analysts and provide guidance and support to ensure successful completion of financial reporting tasks.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, eliminations, and reconciliations.
  • Conduct thorough review of monthly and quarterly variance analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare quarterly and annual financial reports, including consolidated financial statements and management's discussion and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain internal reporting systems to provide timely and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Participate in the interim and year-end audit process, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial process improvements to drive business efficiency and effectiveness.

The Ideal Candidate

  • CPA or CA designation with 4+ years' experience in finance and accounting.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, with excellent time management skills.
