This position reports toService Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesYou will perform complex field service operations that typically present unusual problems requiring strong technical skills. These may include installations, commissioning, of new and existing analytical field service equipment. Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of equipment and procedures. Record, compile and analysis of data and assist in related assessment and preparation of reports.
In addition, you will have application knowledge of refining processes as they relate to process analytical measurements to ensure the quality of the customer's refined products. Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements.
Safety is a top priority, so you will be required to perform work assignments following ABB's and customer's safety policies and procedures. This includes completing all paperwork required for the job including but not limited to service tickets, travel and living, time entry weekly or after completing an assignment requiring this activity. Work closely with the Service and Sales team to identify business opportunities and develop customer relationships and growth plan of the division.
- This position involves traveling 75% of the time to our customers' sites, mainly in the aluminum industry.
- An associate's degree in engineering or related field plus 3-5 years of experience.
- A bachelor's degree in technical field, preferably Analytical, Instrumentation or Electrical.
