Technical Support Specialist

Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform emergency repair, preventative maintenance, installation and product updates at customer sites.
- Establish and sustain active communication links with our global support teams, and provide daily support for all territories as required.
- Provide comprehensive support for our sales organization's efforts, including repair and maintenance of demonstration equipment.
- Perform modification and engineering updates at customer sites.
- Adhere to operating procedures and manage assigned spare parts inventory.
- Prepare detailed documentation of each service call, utilizing your laptop computer.
- Complete service documentation and reports in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures.
- Provide training of customers on proper operation of our instrumentation on site, as required.
- Develop and implement business reviews to drive performance improvement strategies for your territory.
- Communicate with Sales Representatives regarding any concerns or recommendations.
Your Ideal Profile
- Three years of technical experience, with equivalent relevant experience required. A Bachelor's/Engineering degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical or Medical Technology is preferred. Practical experience of interfacing with customers is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Ability to work evening/night shifts, unscheduled overtime, and travel as required.
- Willingness to participate in scheduled 'on call' rotations for after-hours coverage.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fluency in English (50% of the time), as your duties require interaction with stakeholders and colleagues outside Quebec and Canada.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer an estimated annual salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 based on your location and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
