About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. As an integral member of the HR team, you will be responsible for contributing to the company's objectives by providing counsel to management, leading and executing HR initiatives, providing training on various programs, managing employee case files, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and coaching on HR issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory employment standards.
- Offer trusted advice to management on employee relations matters, facilitating positive working relationships and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Collaborate with management in the interview process and onboarding of new supervisors, managers, and directors, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Participate actively in projects and contribute to creating programs that impact client groups and the company at large.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for company programs, showcasing your bilingual (English and French) skills.
- Accompany management through annual performance management programs, including salary increases and development discussions.
- Assist in talent management and succession planning conversations, identifying employees' potential for future job moves.
- Contribute to Health and Safety committees, partnering with corporate Health & Wellness teams.
- Prepare documentation for employee disciplinary measures, including corrective action plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in HR Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
- A CHRP designation is an asset.
- Bilingual (written and verbal) skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and PeopleSoft.
- The ability to influence relationships and build trust.
- Multitasking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of current HR issues and future trends.
- A curious and comfortable approach to change.
