Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Support Specialist to join our team at Ann Arbour Consultants Inc. As a key member of our legal services team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our lawyers and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and court sessions, ensuring that all necessary parties are informed and prepared.
  • Filing and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure easy access to important documents.
  • Minute-Taking and Document Preparation: Record and prepare minutes of court sessions, meetings, and conferences, as well as prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents.
  • Office Procedures and Routines: Determine and establish office procedures and routines to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Review and Proofreading: Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage.

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large caseload.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.

Work Term and Hours: Permanent, 30 hours per week.
