Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is commensurate with experience, ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled physiotherapist to join our team as a Physiotherapist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to diverse client groups, working within a continuous quality improvement framework that reflects VHA's vision and mission.

You will assess clients using interviews, standardized and informal assessment techniques, and implement client interventions based on assessment information and client input. You will also ensure that services provided are best practice, evidence-based, and evaluated through the routine use of valid and reliable outcome measures.

In addition, you will attend client-related meetings to report on assessment findings and discuss plans for intervention, progress reports, and discharge as required. You will also ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with all members of the client's team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.

Other key responsibilities include documenting all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and the organization. You will also prepare statistical records of client care and related activities as required by VHA, the Ministry of Health, and other agencies.

Required Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized school of physiotherapy.
  • Registered, in good standing, with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in the community.
  • Specialized courses to support areas of clinical expertise.
  • Clinical expertise to provide a variety of physiotherapy interventions.
  • Knowledge of community care requirements and resources available.
  • Excellent consultation and teaching skills, and utilization of an evidence base to clinical practice.
