About the Role

BDO's Strategic Pursuit Centre (SPC) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our team of dedicated proposal experts. As a Strategic Pursuit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the pursuit process across the country for both our public and private sector marketplace, spanning all BDO industries and services.

The SPC team provides end-to-end services in the preparation, execution, and follow-up stages of the pursuit process to help BDO win in the market. We are looking for a candidate who can work out of BDO's Ottawa, Montreal, or Toronto office with the option to work remotely as per BDO policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategic pursuit centres intake process for engaging new clients, including assessing opportunities, assigning the appropriate support level, and communicating the details to both our client and the team member assigned.
  • Manage the resources within either the private and/or public sector team to ensure they are being optimally utilized, delivering high-quality deliverables, and managing all aspects of the pursuit to mitigate any potential risks.
  • Manage the operations of the team, including being a coach to junior team members to develop their career growth and meet with them regularly.
  • Ensure we are sharing sales intelligence with the firm's national sales office to work seamlessly across sales teams, including business developers, account managers, and programs such as the Sales Deal Review Board (SDRB) qualification process and MUST Win program.
  • Work on pursuits by supporting the entire proposal process for strategic proposal responses from proposal kick-off, project management to final submission.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal process.
  • Provide RFx review and analysis, custom response template development, and end-to-end pursuit management.
  • Work to ensure BDO's responses to solicitations help differentiate our services, are competitive, compliant, and high-scoring.
  • Support the orals presentation process.
  • Assist with debriefs for each win/loss supported.
  • Ensure BDO's International Corporate Visual Identity Standards and National brand standards are adhered to.
