Job Summary:
Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an OTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to deliver high-quality patient care in a community-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy treatment in home and community settings as delegated by the supervising occupational therapist.
- Complete accurate and timely record keeping in compliance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Standards of Practice.
- Prepare session notes and complete administrative tasks related to clinical file management.
- Order equipment and conduct research to support client OT needs as directed by the supervising occupational therapist.
- Provide support to group therapy programming, including the Chronic Pain Management Group and Mindfulness Group.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physical Therapy Assistant program from a recognized college.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting with a focus on OTA program/treatment delivery.
- Experience in private practice and motor vehicle accident sector is an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Team player, energetic, and resourceful.
- Exceptional client and colleague communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and needs.
- Proficient with technology and computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Professional approach to all situations to create a positive working environment.
- Ability to complete duties independently and in a team environment.
- Capacity to adhere to established procedures and processes consistently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Availability to work Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
- Valid Driver's License and use of a vehicle with appropriate insurance to complete community interventions.
