Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant

The Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant will provide support to occupational therapists and physiotherapists in inpatient rehabilitation and complex transitional care units. The assistant will work under the supervision of the therapists to progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in patient care
- Progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide excellent patient care skills
Requirements
- Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
- At least one year experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseload
- Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
