Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at 2539766 Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage staff performance to ensure high-quality service and efficient operations
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff members to meet business needs
  • Organize and maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure seamless operations
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals for food and other essential supplies
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to meet business objectives
Supervision:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they meet their job responsibilities.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of customer service. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Personal Suitability:

We are looking for an individual who is accurate, client-focused, organized, reliable, and able to multitask. The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster. They will also assist with foreign credential recognition and provide on-the-job training tailored to youth.

Work Term:

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
