Job Title: Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes monitoring staff performance, recruiting and training new staff, organizing and maintaining inventory, negotiating with suppliers, and addressing customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure high-quality service and productivity.
  • Recruit, train, and develop new staff members to meet the needs of the restaurant.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality for our restaurant.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Supervision:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities.

The Restaurant Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards. They will require strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster. They will work with these individuals to recognize their foreign credentials and provide on-the-job training tailored to their needs.

Support for Youths:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will offer on-the-job training and development opportunities to youth, helping them to gain valuable work experience and skills.

Support for Indigenous People:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations, working to promote reconciliation and inclusion.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
