About the Role

Optigo Networks is a leading provider of commercial smart buildings solutions, helping building owners and service providers reduce the cost and complexity of deploying and managing operational technology (OT) networks.

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Sales and Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our channel sales strategy, business development within key accounts, and managing our sales organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Channel Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive revenue growth through partnerships with systems integrators.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts, leveraging your expertise in the commercial building automation industry.
  • Sales Organization Management: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, including account executives and business development representatives, to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and promotion of our solutions within our channel partners' organizations.
  • Sales Playbook: Develop and implement a sales playbook to assist the sales team in quicker qualification of prospects, accelerating pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on sales performance and pipeline development to senior management.
  • Team Development: Mentor business development representatives to create a strong culture of internal professional development and sales bench strength.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in technical sales, business development, or consulting within the commercial building automation industry.
  • Strong experience building and growing sales through channel partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proven track record for team building, coaching, motivating, strategic thinking, business acumen, and achievement of sales objectives.
  • Personable demeanor and compelling presentation skills with a natural ability to engage and persuade an audience.
  • Ability to travel to events and conferences 2-3 times per year.
Desired Skills
  • Understanding of the BACnet protocol and/or other operational technology networking protocols such as Modbus, LON, etc.
  • Knowledge of and strong networking relationships with key stakeholders in the industry such as building owners, systems integrators, and facility managers.
  • Experience working with CRM software (HubSpot or similar).
  • Experience with social selling and using sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo).
  • B2B SaaS experience.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $100,000 - $130,000, commissions, and stock options. Additionally, we provide health and dental benefits, educational opportunities, and the ability to work with the latest technologies in a fun, agile, startup work environment.
