PROMPT SIGNS INC. is seeking a skilled Computer Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software. You will be responsible for evaluating and installing new equipment, providing problem-solving services to network users, and implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for performing routine network start up and close down, maintaining control records, and performing data backups and disaster recovery operations.

As a Network Infrastructure Technician at PROMPT SIGNS INC., you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
