About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Nutrition Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing nutrition programs in our schools. Your primary responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board Nutrition Strategy to promote healthy eating habits among students.
Responsibilities:
As a Nutrition Program Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic planning and implementation of nutrition programs in our schools
- Collaboration with community organizations and stakeholders to raise awareness about nutrition and healthy eating habits
- Development and maintenance of partnerships with local food banks and other nutrition-related organizations
- Analysis of program data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Maintenance of web content and social media presence related to nutrition programs
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in nutrition, public health, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nutrition program management, preferably in a school setting
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of reporting requirements and eligibility criteria for government-funded programs
