Construction Specialist

The Construction Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for maintaining bridges, culverts, retaining walls and related structures. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, including concrete, steel, and timber. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with power tools and heavy equipment, as well as possessing a general construction aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to bridges, culverts, and retaining walls
- Conduct physical labor and operate hand and power tools
- Read and comprehend blueprints
- Estimate material quantities and measure, calculate angles, and cut material
Working Conditions
- This role involves shift work, including day, night, and weekend shifts
- Primarily performed outdoors in various types of weather and environmental conditions
- On-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidents
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Trade School or Apprenticeship Program preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
