About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Pretty Estates ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation and presentation of menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs, and plan menus to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training to ensure excellent service standards.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, and manage kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions
  • 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
