Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a full scope role. The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients/residents, conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and participate in multidisciplinary care planning meetings.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents, including conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and develop effective care plans.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in continuous learning opportunities.
  • Operate and maintain equipment related to patient/resident care, such as bathtubs, scales, and mechanical lifts.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients/residents and staff.
  • Participate in orientation of new staff, students, and other members of the health care team.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
  • Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM, including administering medications.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
