Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide treatment and care management services to individuals with mental health and concurrent disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates care for clients by collaborating with the interprofessional care team, performing intake functions, conducting mental health assessments, developing, implementing, maintaining, and adjusting comprehensive treatment plans based on client needs and best practices.
  • Plans and provides direct nursing care to clients in compliance with standards of practice, including reviewing client/family history, conducting physical/psychosocial assessments, assessing vital signs, developing a care plan specific to the client, and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.
  • The nurse works from a strengths-based model, using motivational interviewing and engagement techniques, and works collaboratively with clients and professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Two years recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is CAD $56.00 - $73.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
