Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and vision for the department, aligning with the Faculty of Medicine's strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement departmental plans, policies, and procedures to achieve excellence in research, education, and clinical practice.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equity, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to advance the department's research, education, and clinical programs.
- Represent the department and the Faculty of Medicine in various internal and external forums, promoting the university's reputation and interests.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, research, and education in anesthesiology and pharmacology. They will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. The candidate will also have a proven ability to foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and equity, and to promote a positive and respectful work environment.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a PhD or MD in anesthesiology or a related field, with a strong record of research and education. They will also have experience in senior leadership roles, with a proven track record of advancing the field of anesthesiology and pharmacology.
