Key Responsibilities- Work closely with senior members of the company to evaluate new business strategies and contribute to the general growth of the firm.
- Lead acquisitions, closings, and business plan execution, engaging with third-party brokers and landowners to secure transaction opportunities.
- Assess potential investments through financial modeling and market research, completing data-driven analysis to inform major decision-making.
- Oversee the creation of investment committee memorandums and due diligence materials for new acquisitions, and assist with securing land, bridge, construction, and permanent financing.
- Work with the asset management team to formulate asset business plans for income-producing assets, and oversee asset management and property management teams for Montreal properties.
- Represent the company at industry panels and events, and provide business oversight and leadership to regional employees.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- ~10+ years of experience in finance, including principal investing at a private equity company or real estate firm.
- Advanced analytical skills with expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Motivated to oversee the work and contribute to the development of junior members of the investments team.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with an ability to work independently and synergistically in a lean and horizontal corporate structure.
