Senior Director, Real Estate Investments and Asset Management

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Real Estate Investments and Asset Management to join our team at iA Financial Group. As a key member of our Real Estate Investments and Asset Management team, you will play a critical role in achieving optimal returns by enhancing the value of our real estate assets, while aligning with our strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead investment transactions, including real estate acquisitions, provisions, and development, within the Quebec and Ontario markets.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses and lead negotiations with external investor partners and property managers.
- Coordinate due diligence and closing processes, and prepare documents for the Investment Committee and/or Board of Directors.
- Work with property managers to ensure asset performance and approve recommendations for leasing offers, repositioning, or development projects.
- Analyze and revise annual operating and capital budgets, business plans, and action plans.
- Monitor financial management reports and make recommendations to reduce unfavorable variances in real estate asset performance.
- Manage partner relations to uphold the group's interests and investment conventions.
- Perform financial tracking for development, redevelopment, and capital expenditure projects, and analyze their impacts on global profitability and asset performance.
- Revise market value appraisal reports and advise on their findings.
- Coordinate strategic reviews of each property and make recommendations for future positioning and prospects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an investment strategy for the entire real estate portfolio.
- Monitor real estate market indicators and macroeconomic forecasts, and advise accordingly.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Urban and Real Estate Planning, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in asset transactions and management.
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal colleagues and partners.
- Excellent knowledge of Office Suite (especially Excel) and Argus software.
- Designated Certified Appraiser (an asset).
- Knowledge of the institutional real estate sector (an asset).
