At E4C, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Housing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our youth support services, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ2S+ youth aged 16-24.

As a Youth Housing Specialist, you will work closely with youth to assess their needs and develop personalized plans to achieve stability and independence. Your expertise in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and strength-based practice will be essential in creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for our youth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting case assessments and case management sessions with youth to identify and address their needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans to support youth in achieving their goals and transitioning to stable, permanent housing.
  • Providing crisis intervention and one-to-one support to youth in the community, including attending meetings and activities with youth in their apartments/suites.
  • Collaborating with youth, families, service teams, landlords, and community members to build positive relationships and ensure youth have access to necessary resources and support.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC), Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • Clear Police Check with Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record Check.
  • Reliable, registered vehicle, driver's license, and valid insurance.
  • Standard First Aid, Indigenous Awareness, Medication Administration, De-Escalation, Protection of Sexually Exploited Children's Act, Suicide Intervention, Harm Reduction, Food Safety, and WHMIS certifications.
