Critical Care Nursing Opportunity
Kindred Hospital Ontario is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in the recovery process for patients with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
- Act as a patient advocate at all times, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Supervise the nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
- Apply critical thinking skills to promote positive clinical outcomes and ensure patient education.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Maintain the highest standards of nursing care and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assess patients on admission within the required time frame and make referrals to other disciplines as necessary.
- Develop and update nursing care plans as needed, ensuring that they are discussed and developed in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
