As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient needs and demands.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, and families to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Make informed decisions and take ownership of patient care, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and families by following health and safety policies and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills, contributing to the hospital's academic mandate.
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Critical Care Certificate required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Critical Care/ICU experience preferred.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
As a Registered Nurse at North York General Hospital, you will enjoy a highly competitive total compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay, and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan. This is a full-time permanent position with 8 and 12 hour shifts, including day and night shifts, and weekends in the Critical Care Unit.
